Liposuction is used to improve the body’s contours, a technique used on its own or in conjunction with other procedures. The technical skill and aesthetic judgement required are considerable. Patients eligible for liposuction should not be overly obese, as no more than three liters of fat (in total around six liters of fluid) can be removed. Also, the patient’s connective tissue needs to be fairly flexible. Patients should have tried out weight loss approaches such as dieting and sports previously-with the conclusion that their problematic areas remain unaffected by low-calorie food and fitness training.
Tumescent techniques (Latin word tumescere = to swell): Tiny incisions are made in the skin on top of the fatty tissue, and approximately three liters of saline solution are pumped into the issue through these holes. The fat cells absorb the liquid and swell up, which makes it easier to dislodge them. Already during the one-hour soaking stage, the fat cells begin to detach from the connective tissue, nerves, blood vessels and lymphatic vessels surrounding them. |

| Procedure information and technique |
| Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery operations. A small cannula is placed deep into fatty layer and presser suction is applied until the fat is removed. Carefully sculpting contour of the body is the key of success because the fat under skin must be removed and the remain fat has to be smooth but thinner layer. After the surgery is complete, pressure dressing must be worn to the suction site to keep body contour in shape. |

| Results of Liposuction |
You will see a noticeable difference in the shape of your body quite soon after surgery. However, improvement will become even more apparent after about four to six weeks, when most of the swelling has subsided. After about three months, any persistent mild swelling usually disappears and the final contour will be visible. |
